Application
The BOLL Differential Pressure Indicator is a compact device designed to indicate the contamination level of filter elements by measuring the differential pressure between the filter inlet and outlet. Design and Operation
The device contains a plunger held in place by a spring. As contamination increases, the differential pressure rises, displacing the plunger and turning the display disc to show more red segments. The differential pressure setting is determined by a factory-installed spring. Some models include electronic contacts with two switches for use as switching or alarm contacts, activated at 75% and 100% of the preset pressure threshold. The housing is made of coated die-cast aluminum, suitable for pressures up to 100 bar, while type 4.46 models use stainless steel for pressures up to 160 bar. The cover glass should be cleaned with a damp cloth to prevent electrostatic charge.
