TinCheck®

TinCheck®

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document introduces the TinCheck®, an innovative device designed to identify the tin side of float glass, which is crucial in modern glass production. The device utilizes advanced LED technology to simplify the measurement process, requiring only one side of the glass to be tested.
Specifications: TinCheck® features a high-durability LED lamp with low energy consumption, making it mains-independent and ensuring a long battery life. It includes a protective bag, two AA batteries, and an operating manual.
Functionality: The device is compact and easy to use. Users simply place it on the glass pane and press the start button. The result is displayed immediately: a green diode for the tin bath side and a red diode for the atmospheric side. An optional acoustic signal is available for users with achromatic vision.
Modes: TinCheck® offers two modes: the basic Bohle setting, which uses stored reference measurements, and client mode, allowing users to define and store a threshold value for special glass measurements.
Comparison with Conventional Testers: Compared to traditional UV lamp testers, TinCheck® offers several advantages: it requires only one measurement, works under any lighting conditions, and provides clear text, LED, and acoustic displays without subjective assessment.
Contact Information: The document provides contact details for Bohle offices in the United Kingdom, Germany, South Africa, and the USA.

TinCheck® detects the tin side of float glass Modern glass production is largely based on float processes. This production process creates a distinction between the side of the glass which has been placed on the tin bath and its atmospheric side. Knowing which side of the glass pane has been exposed to the tin bath in the course of its production process is meanwhile important in various glass processing applications. Our innovative TinCheck® measuring device now identifies the tin bath side quickly and easily. And this is how easily TinCheck® works. The significant disadvantages of conventional...

TinCheck®-3

In the basic (Bohle) setting, TinCheck displays a result based on stored reference measurements of standard float glasses from different glass manufacturers. In client mode (mode B) users are able to define and store a threshold value within the device by taking a comparison measurement of a reference glass pane (a measurement on both sides). Thus, it is no longer problematic to measure special glass.
