Catalyst Silencers

Catalyst Silencers

Product catalog summary
Description: Our catalyst silencers are engineered to control engine exhaust noise and reduce pollutant gases such as CO and NmHC. They feature a fully welded cylindrical construction available in carbon or stainless steel, equipped with exhaust condensate drain plugs. The catalyst component is made from stainless steel with a honeycomb-shaped metal substrate coated with catalytic material. This substrate is secured by a 'U' shaped stainless steel retaining ring, with additional reinforcements for strength and rigidity. The design incorporates multi-stage technology with reactive wave phasing devices and absorption, offering acoustic performance from 15 dBA to 60 dBA.
Features:
  • The catalyst can be mounted in any orientation for easy access.
  • Easy access for inspection and maintenance.
  • Options include special connections for a bursting disc to protect the catalyst and silencer, and pressure probes for monitoring system back pressure.
Installation: The catalyst silencer should be installed as close as possible to the engine outlet to maximize temperature and catalyst efficiency.
Application: Designed for catalyzed exhaust lines of internal combustion engines (petrol, diesel, gas, or biogas), these systems can be used in new CHP plants, retrofitted to existing plants, or in new power plants to comply with current regulations.

Catalyst Silencers-1

Application : • Our silencers are designed for catalyzed exhaust lines of internal combustion engines (petrol, diesel, gas, or biogas). These systems can be installed in new CHP plants, retrofitted to existing plants or new power plants to meet current regulations in force. Features : • The catalyst can be mounted in any orientation to provide convenient access. • Easy access for inspection and maintenance. - Special connection designed to have a bursting disc fitted for the protection of the catalyst and silencer. - Pressure probes upstream and downstream from the catalyst and silencer to allow constant monitoring of the system back pressure. Installation : • In all cases the catalyst silencer must be placed as close as possible to the engine outlet to ensure maximum temperature & therefore catalyst efficiency. DESCRIPTION : Our catalyst silencers are designed to meet the requirements associated with the engines exhaust noise control & the pollutant gas reduction (CO, NmHC). Our cylindrical catalyst silencers are a fully welded construction in either carbon steel or stainless steel. They are equipped with exhaust condensate drain plugs. The catalyst component is manufactured from stainless steel & the catalytic material is coated on a metal substrate in the shape of honeycomb. It is a concentric winding of extremely thin blades: one being flat & the other being corrugated. The substrate is held in place by a "U" shaped stainless steel retaining ring. Stainless steel reinforcements are also used to increase the catalyst strength and rigidity. Our silencer design is based on a multi-stage technology including reactive wave phasing devices coupled to absorption. Our catalyst silencers provide an acoustic performance from 15 dBA to 60 dBA.
