Slack Rope Valve KSB

Slack Rope Valve KSB

Product catalog summary
Technical Specifications:
The document provides technical data for Slack Rope Valves by KSB, available in sizes ½", ¾", 1½", and 2". The flow range maximum is specified as 80 lpm for ½", 125 lpm for ¾", 400 lpm for 1½", and 800 lpm for 2". The operating pressure range is consistent across all sizes, from 10 to 100 bar. The pressure drop at maximum flow varies slightly between sizes, with values of 2.5 bar for ½", 3.5 bar for ¾", and 3.0 bar for both 1½" and 2". The weight of the valves ranges from 0.5 kg for the smallest size to 4.0 kg for the largest.
Adjustment Procedure:
The Slack Rope Valve is adjusted by turning the screw KSB. Turning the screw 'in' increases pressure, while turning it 'out' decreases pressure. For proper adjustment, the screw should be turned all the way in and then backed out five turns. If the car does not descend when the manual lowering is opened, the screw should be further adjusted until the car begins to descend, followed by an additional half turn to accommodate cold oil conditions.
Description and Function:
The Slack Rope Valve is designed for separate installation and prevents slack rope conditions caused by the lowering of the ram when the car is suspended in safeties or resting on buffers. It is suitable for retrofitting existing systems and ensures safety by maintaining proper tension in the ropes.
Manufacturer Information:
The valves are manufactured by Blain Hydraulics GmbH, located in Heilbronn, Germany. They specialize in high-quality control valves for elevators, tank heaters, hand pumps, pipe rupture valves, and ball valves.

Slack Rope Valve KSB-1

Slack Rope Valve /“ Description: Slack Rope Valve for separate installation. It prevents the slack rope condition caused by the lowering of the ram when the car is suspended in the safeties or resting on the buffers. Adjustment: The Slake Rope Valve is adjusted by turning the screw KSB ‘in' for higher pressure and out for lower pressure. With KSB turned all the way in, then 5 turns back out, the unloaded car should descent when Manual Lowering is opened. Should the car not descend, KSB must be backed off until the car just begins to descend, then backed off a further half turn to ensure that with cold oil, the car can be lowered as required.
