PowerSTAR features hypoid gearing manufactured using technology exclusive to Bison to offer several operational advantages; including higher torque capability, quieter operation and unmatched energy efficiency. The PowerSTAR’s exterior shell is composed of lightweight aluminum with finned edges to keep the unit running cool. The exterior also features multiple mounting configurations to allow the gearmotor to be easily installed on a wide array of equipment without redesign or the need for additional components. Enclosed with a Nitrile rubber seal to prevent contamination, PowerSTAR carries an IP-54 rating and thrives in most industrial environments. PowerSTAR’s initial product offering includes single & three-phase motor options on the 725 gearbox in 13 standard ratios offering output torque from 60-900 in-lbs. Other frame sizes and gearing packages coming soon.
