EASY FROM LABORATORY TO INDUSTRIAL SCALE NOVEL MAGNETIC MIXER DRIVES FOR HIGH EFFICIENCY STERILE MIXING
Open the catalog to page 1EASY FROM LABORATORY TO INDUSTRIAL SCALE MAGNETIC MIXING – THE FUTURE STERILITY Considering the recent demand on high-sterility levels in modern bioreactors, we bring forward a patented novel magnetically coupled mixer drive for biotechnological and chemical applications. The proposed design has proven itself in a wide variety of mixing applications, by providing high purity, high power, low maintenance and robust mixing even at 20 m3 production scales. The novel magnetic drive enables easier operation in large scale stirred-tank vessels, compared to traditional magnetic drives. Our mixing...
Open the catalog to page 2EASY FROM LABORATORY TO INDUSTRIAL SCALE THE NOVEL MAGNETIC MIXER DESIGN The working principle of the novel magnetically coupled drive is based on rotating a pair of magnetic rotors (drive and driven magnets) inside and outside of a hermetic cylindrical housing. The drive magnets interact with the outer rotors, which are placed on the opposite side of the hermetic housing and also are supplied with a set of magnets, which are encapsulated in the rotor’s shell. In result, by applying rotation to the drive magnets, thanks to the magnetic interaction, the outer rotors are rotated...

This makes the installation process easier and more flexible, by enabling the user to choose a desired location for the mixer. The novel magnetic mixers design provides a high number of advantages, compared to conventional magnetic drive mixers. The experience obtained during the past two decades of studying, optimizing, manufacturing and probing numerous stirrer designs and layouts, resulted in an agitation...
Open the catalog to page 4EASY FROM LABORATORY TO INDUSTRIAL SCALE MAGNETC MIXERS FOR INSTALLATION IN ANY STIRRED VESSEL To install the magnetic drive in bioreactors of any other manufacturer, it is necessary to weld in a flange in either the top or bottom lid of the vessel. The flange size depends on the diameter of the desired cylindrical housing. Weld-in flange for magnetic mixer mounting In case if the drive is meant to be installed on the top lid of the bioreactor, firstly, the static housing is inserted through the flange in to the vessel, then it is fixed in place. After that, the outer magnetic rotors with...

Thanks to the implemented design, the magnetic mixer operates as good as a conventional mechanical stirrer, but has the advantage of high sterility and low maintenance requirements, which makes it ideal for biotechnological and pharmaceutical applications. Cylindrical housing diameter, mm * - rectangular...
