Introduction: This document provides guidelines for the correct autoclave loading procedure for BioClean Clearview™ Autoclavable Goggles (models BCAP, BCAG, and BCAH) to prevent lens marking during the process.

Correct Autoclave Loading:

Goggle Placement: Place goggles in the autoclave bag with the lens vertical to prevent condensate pooling. Avoid horizontal placement, either face up or face down.
Bag Size: Ensure the autoclave bag is large enough to allow space between the lens and the bag to prevent condensate trapping.
Bag Orientation: Load the autoclave with bags paper side down and plastic side up to avoid condensate pooling. Do not load bags on their edge with the paper standing up.

Additional Notes: Use clean and dry steam in the autoclave. 'Wet' steam can cause excess condensate and water staining if the load is removed before cooling. 'Dry' steam is preferred as it is pure water vapor.

Customer Information Aid Autoclaving Goggles Correct Autoclave Loading To avoid marks forming on the lenses during the autoclave process, we suggest this procedure is followed. 1. The goggles should be placed in the autoclave bag with the lens vertical (picture A). It does not matter if the straps and clips are next to the lens.
