Overview: The C-50 Analog Expansion Console is designed to interface with the C-100 SmartBob Control Console, providing multiple 4-20 mA outputs for monitoring multiple bins equipped with SmartBob2 or SmartBob-TS1 sensors. This setup allows for efficient inventory management by reducing equipment and installation costs.
Specifications:- Connection: RS-485 cable for communication between C-50 and C-100 consoles.
- Output: Supports continuous 4-20 mA industrial output.
- Power Requirements: 8 W minimum for 3 or fewer I/O cards, 16 W minimum for 4 or more I/O cards.
- Operating Temperature: -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C).
- Enclosure: Polycarbonate, NEMA Type I, IP40, wall-mountable.
- Dimensions: 6.5” x 6.3” x 3.5” (166mm x 160mm x 89mm).
Network Configuration: The C-50 console connects to the C-100 via RS-485, and up to 120 SmartBob sensors can be monitored through a daisy-chained network. Each C-50 console has six card slots, supporting up to 24 analog outputs.
Scalability: Up to five C-50 consoles can be daisy-chained, allowing for a total of 120 SmartBob devices to be monitored from a single C-100 console.
Installation and Maintenance: The polycarbonate enclosure is impact-resistant and can be mounted indoors. The RS-232 port is available for flash updates and maintenance. The system meets U.S. and international standards for EMI and ESD control.
Benefits: This configuration reduces the need for extensive equipment and wiring, saving time and labor costs. It provides a scalable solution for inventory management with convenient 4-20 mA outputs for networked communications.
