Comec-Binder belt filter presses are designed for the efficient dewatering of various types of sludge, utilizing a continuous mechanical filtration process.
The process begins with sludge being pressed by two roller-operated filter belts. A polyelectrolyte flocculant is mixed with the sludge in a reactor, which is then evenly distributed over the belts and pre-dewatered in the gravity zone. The sludge cake is turned over to allow additional water drainage. In the angle zone, the belts converge to apply slight pressure, preparing the sludge for the alternating pressure zone where increasing pressure is applied for maximum dewatering. Doctor blades remove the dewatered sludge at the outlet, and high-pressure nozzles clean the belts. Pneumatic units ensure belt centering and tensioning.

TASK SOLUTION Comec-Binder belt filter presses are used for the dewatering of highly diverse types of sludge. The operation of Comec-Binder belt filter presses is based on continuous mechanical filtration. The sludge is first pressed by two roller-operated filter belts and then mixed in the sludge reactor with a polyelectrolyte flocculant.
