Product catalog summary
Features
The BP-LFP-10250S battery features a nominal voltage of 9.9 V and a capacity of 25 Ah. It includes a system present function, an integrated temperature sensor, and is designed for high storage capability and long backup times. The battery is environmentally friendly, being free of lead and cadmium, and has a lifespan five times longer than lead-acid batteries. It is certified for safe transport under UN 38.3 and operates within a temperature range of -20 to +55 °C.
Safety Instructions
Users must thoroughly read safety instructions before use. Incorrect handling can lead to serious injury or death. The battery should not be disassembled, exposed to heat, or short-circuited. Proper chargers must be used, and polarity must be observed. In case of leakage, avoid contact with skin, eyes, or ingestion, and seek medical help if necessary.
Connections
The battery system includes communication and power supply connections with specific plugs and cable lengths. The communication connector has several pins for various functions, including temperature sensing and system presence.
Technical Data
The battery uses TB-027070180D-Fe-25A cells with a voltage range of 7.5 V to 11.1 V. It features overvoltage and undervoltage protection, a 15 A fuse, and operates at a maximum height of 5000 m. Charging parameters include a recommended voltage of 10.35 V and a current of 4 A, with a maximum of 9 A. Discharge parameters include a voltage of ~7.5 V and a current of 5 A, with a maximum of 14 A.
Functionality of BMS
The Battery Management System (BMS) monitors cell voltages and disconnects the main current path in case of faults. It includes protection functions for short-term and permanent errors, charging behavior management, and cell balancing during and after charging.
Additional Functions
The System Present function is mandatory for battery use, requiring specific pin connections to enable the main current path. In case of failure, the main switch remains disabled despite activation.
Specifications and Components
The document outlines the specifications for the BP-LFP-10250S energy storage device. Key components include a communication connector and an NTC temperature sensor. The communication connector's PIN 6 must be bridged to PIN 8 or the power connector's GND to unlock the main current path, allowing battery charging and discharging. The NTC temperature sensor, located on the cell's outer wall, is crucial for monitoring cell temperature, which must remain within -20°C to +55°C to prevent fire or explosion.
Scope of Delivery
The package includes one BP-LFP-10250S device, a 350 mm power cable, and a 350 mm data cable.
Handling and Storage Instructions
Post-disconnection from UPSI-2406DP1, the battery must be protected from foreign particles and moisture. It should be stored in a cool, dry place, ideally at +25°C ±5°C with 10% to 80% humidity, and charged to at least 30%, preferably 80%. Regular checks every two months are recommended to avoid deep discharge.
Transport Instructions
Lithium batteries are classified as dangerous goods under Class 9, with specific regulations for transport, including UN 3480 and UN 3481. Damaged batteries require stricter provisions (SP 376, P911, P908). Air transport of waste batteries is restricted unless authorized. Used batteries can be transported under new battery regulations if intact.
Disposal Instructions
Used battery modules must be returned to the point of sale or a special disposal system and not disposed of with household waste. They should be discharged and packaged appropriately for disposal.
Additional Information
The manual provides guidance for legal compliance but does not replace legal requirements. The information is accurate to the best of the company's knowledge as of November 9, 2022.

B2  Safety warnings for battery use The described limit values of the battery module must be observed. A violation of the limit values can cause excessive heating, a defect in the battery module or fire. As with other batteries, lithium batteries also have the potential to continue being a source of danger even in the supposedly discharged state, as they can deliver a very high short-circuit current. Too deep discharge leads to permanent damage. Deeply discharged battery modules may no longer be charged or operated. For example, deep discharge can occur when stored for a long time without operation....

If a cell leaks, the fluid must not come into contact with the skin or enter the eyes or mouth. Measures in case of inhalation Vapors or mists escaping from a damaged cell can cause respiratory irritation. When inhaling the contents of an open cell, remove the source of contamination or remove the affected person to fresh air. Seek medical help immediately. Measures in case of eye contact Contact with the contents of an opened cell can cause severe chemical burns or eye irritation. If eye contact occurs with the contents of an opened cell, immediately rinse the contaminated eye(s) with a lukewarm,...

NTC temperature sensor The evaluation of the NTC temperature sensor (PIN 1 and 3 of the communication connector) is also mandatory for the use of the battery. The temperature sensor is attached directly to the outer wall of a cell and thus measures the cell temperature directly. The cell temperature must never leave the given limit values, otherwise there is a risk of fire and explosion. Allowed temperature range for the built-in cell TB-027070180D-Fe-25Ah: Charge: -20 °C up to +55 °C Discharge: -20 °C up to +55 °C The resistance of the NTC can be measured between PIN 1 and 3 of the communication...
