Blanks formed by rollers or stamping machines are locked on both sides, gripped and uniformly seamed in one operation. The handling of this machine is so simple, that a well-trained person can produce up to 1000 bodies, depending of product diameters. The mandrel is suitable for inside, outside or other types of seam. Changeover of blades for different seams is very easy to handle. The semi-automatic seamer is powered by a flywheel drive. Its energy is transmitted to an electro-pneumatic friction clutch to the camshaft powering the ram and the upper dies. After one full movement, the clutch releases and the ram stops while the flywheel continues running. The camshaft also controls the movement of the blades in the mandrel. The machine is equipped with a pneumatic holding device. This helps to simplify placement of the products. This holding device depends on the size of the products, which will be made.
