BFM® Global Ltd. offers Blanking Caps, Socks, and Bins designed to prevent contamination during cleaning or change-over processes. These products protect against dust emission and are ideal for use as sifter oversize collection containers. The transparent design allows for easy monitoring of fill levels and reject consistency, and they can be lined with plastic bags for hygienic waste disposal.
Made from Seeflex 040E material, these products feature a gloss surface finish, a hardness of 90 Shore A, and a wall thickness of 0.9 mm (1/32 inch). They operate within a temperature range of -25 to 110˚C (-13 to 230˚F) and can withstand a maximum surge temperature of 120˚C (248˚F). The material is air impermeable.
Products are available in diameters ranging from 100mm to 1,650mm (4” to 65”) and lengths for socks/bins from 80mm to 1,000mm (3” to 39 1/2”). Caps are available in a length of 30mm (1 3/16”). Sizes are in 50mm (2”) increments, with restrictions for larger diameters or when using anti-collapse rings or TR versions.
The products are ATEX compliant, tested by IBExU, and suitable for use in dust explosion hazardous areas. Seeflex 040E material complies with FDA 21 CFR177.1680 and 177.2600, USDA, (EC) 1935/2004, 2023–2006 & 10/2011 regulations. The BFM® cuff and spigot system is a 3A certified 63-04 sanitary fitting.
These products are 100% dust-tight and suitable for applications involving vibration, oscillation, compression, and food safety.
