PermeaGland cable glands are designed to provide reliable protection against pressure variations and water ingress without requiring additional ventilation boreholes in hermetically sealed housings. This is achieved through the use of a permeaflon® pressure compensation membrane.
- Pressure compensation membrane equalizes pressure differences, preventing water, dust, and dirt ingress.
- Constructed with nickel-plated brass housing and screw attachment, polyamide 6 clamping insert, chloroprene washer, and NBR seal disc.
- Membrane is made of hydrophobic and oleophobic PTFE, free of PFOA and PFOS.
- IP69K protection rating ensures high resistance to dust and water.
- Operational temperature range: -20 to +100 °C (constant) and -30 to +150 °C (intermittent).
- Complies with DIN EN 50262 standards.

Additional boreholing for ventilation in the hermetically sealed housing is not required, thus avoiding the creation of possible weak points. At the core of the permeaGland cable gland is the permeaflon® pressure compensation membrane. This reliably equalises pressure differences between the interior of the housing and the external environment, preventing the ingress of water, dust and dirt.
