Features include patented motor connections, double oil seals, and compatibility with major European manufacturers. Brake geared motors and modular kits enhance flexibility.
ATEX Compliance
The products comply with the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC for safe use in explosive atmospheres, certified for Zones 1, 2, 21, and 22.
Technical Specifications
Specifications include motor performance, exact ratios, and selection tables. Details cover dimensions and configurations for motorised and reducer units, with options for backstop modules and fan-cooled units.
Load Classification and Service Factors
Gear unit selection is based on comparing actual loads with catalogue ratings, using service factors to adjust for operating conditions. Mechanical ratings assume continuous running under uniform load conditions.
Applications
The document lists applications across industries, detailing load classifications and service factors for machinery like agitators, blowers, and textile machinery.
Load Classification by Applications
Machines are categorized into Uniform (U), Moderate shock (M), and Heavy shock (H) load types, with examples like conveyors and paper mills.
Example Application Details
An example of a uniformly loaded belt conveyor is provided, with parameters like absorbed power (0.7 kW) and output speed (63 rev/min), determining a mechanical service factor of 1.25.
Selection Procedure for Motorised Units
Steps include determining the mechanical service factor, calculating required output torque, selecting motor size, and checking output torque and service factor.
Output Bore and Shaft Options
Details on output bore and shaft options, including standard and inch sizes, are provided for customization.
Double Reduction Units
Information on double reduction units includes IEC and NEMA flange options and compatibility details.
Specifications and Selection Tables
Specifications cover motor power, types, output speeds, torque, service factors, and overhung load. Selection tables guide motor selection based on these parameters.
Recommendations
For customized configurations, users should consult application engineers. Correct motor size and configuration selection is emphasized for optimal performance.

SERIES F EXPLANATION & USE OF RATINGS & SERVICE FACTORS Gear unit selection is made by comparing actual loads with catalogue ratings. Catalogue ratings are based on a standard set of loading conditions, whereas actual load conditions vary according to type of application. Service Factors are therefore used to calculate an equivalent load to compare with catalogue ratings. i.e. Equivalent Load = Actual Load x Service Factor Mechanical ratings and service factors Fm and Fs Mechanical ratings measure capacity in terms of life and/or strength, assuming 10 hr/day continuous running under uniform load...
