BR Series F

Product catalog summary
General Description
The Series F shaft mounted geared motors are engineered for industrial use, offering power up to 110 kW and torque up to 16,500 Nm. They comply with the ATEX Directive for safe operation in explosive environments and come in ten sizes with various motor and reducer configurations.
Unit Designations
Units are identified by series size, number of reductions, revision version, nominal overall ratio, unit version, output shaft, mounting position, geared motor power, and motor poles. Standard configurations include motorised units with IE2 standard motors and reducer units with fan kits.
Ratings and Service Factors
Mechanical ratings and service factors (Fm and Fs) are provided to select the appropriate unit for specific applications, considering the prime mover, service duration, and load classification (uniform, moderate, or heavy shock load).
Selection Procedure for Motorised Units
The selection process involves determining the required output torque, output speed ratio, service factor, and motor frame size to ensure the unit meets application demands.
Output Options
Various output bore and shaft options are available, including standard and inch single extensions, with specified dimensions for compatibility with different applications.
Motor Adapters
Motor adapters are available for double, triple, and quadruple reduction units, with IEC and NEMA flange options. Limited availability and non-preferred motor codes are noted.
Lubrication and Mounting Positions
Lubrication requirements are detailed for different unit sizes and reduction types, specifying oil grades and quantities. Mounting positions are illustrated for both motorised and reducer units to ensure proper installation and operation.
Motor Performance Data
TEFC squirrel cage three-phase motors are used, operating at 1500 rpm with 400V, 50Hz, S1 IP55, Class F specifications.
Overview
The document provides a detailed selection guide for geared motors, focusing on Series F motors with various power ratings and pole configurations. It includes specifications, selection tables, and dimensional data for different motor sizes.
Specifications
Geared motors range from 0.18 kW to 110 kW, with 4-pole and 6-pole configurations. Other output speeds are available using 2 and 8 pole motors, with advice to contact application engineers for more information.
Selection Tables
Each motor size is accompanied by a selection table including Output Speed (N2), Ratio (i), Output Torque (M2 Nm), Service Factor (Fm), Overhung Load (N), Unit Designation, and Weight of base mount unit (Kg).
Dimensional Data
Detailed dimensions for various motor frame sizes are provided, including Hollow Output Bore dimensions, motor frame sizes and corresponding dimensions, and specific measurements for unit sizes such as F0222, F0322, etc.
Notes and Recommendations
The document emphasizes the availability of different output speeds and the importance of consulting with application engineers for tailored solutions.

Gear unit selection is made by comparing actual loads with catalogue ratings. Catalogue ratings are based on a standard set of loading conditions, whereas actual load conditions vary according to type of application. Service Factors are therefore used to calculate an equivalent load to compare with catalogue ratings. i.e. Equivalent Load = Actual Load x Service Factor Mechanical ratings measure capacity in terms of life and/or strength, assuming 10 hr/day continuous running under uniform load conditions. Catalogue ratings allow 100% overload at starting, braking or momentarily during operation...
