Product Data Sheet BENTLEY® DATADATADATASHEETS Process, Instrumentation, Mechanical and Electrical datasheets automatically synchronized with the project database Notification of Change E ach time a project datasheet is opened Bentley Datasheets automatically compares the data on the datasheet to the data in the Bentley Plant project database. Any differences are displayed and the engineer responsible can resolve the differences either on the datasheet or in the project database. Any changes to the datasheet are highlighted by revision marks. Bulk Datasheet Generation Project datasheets can be created in bulk using the Bentley Bulk Data Sheet Builder. Engineers can select a range of project tagged components, assign a datasheet template and then batch-generate multiple datasheets. Flexibility of Standard Desktop Applications D atasheets are created as Microsoft Excel (.xls) files to allow the greatest possible flexibility in managing project documentation. All customisation of datasheet templates is carried out in Microsoft Excel using standard Excel functionality. D atasheets can be edited outside of the Bentley Plant environment - possibly by a 3rd party vendor - using Microsoft Excel. Any changes made are detected when the datasheet is opened using Bentley Datasheets and the engineer responsible can choose to accept or reject those changes. R e-use of Existing Excel Datasheets A ny existing Microsoft Excel company datasheets can be easily ‘converted’ to become Bentley Datasheets templates. Simple Excel functionality is used to achieve this. Bulk Populate the Bentley Project Database D atasheets with nothing more than a tag number assigned to them can be issued to project engineers to complete the using nothing more than Microsoft Excel. When completed, the data on these datasheets can bulk populate the project database by simply opening the datasheet via the Bentley Datasheets application and synchronizing the database with the datasheet. Seamless Integration with other Bentley Plant Applications B entley Datasheets seamlessly integrates with the other Bentley Plant Design applications by sharing data via the Bentley Plant project database. Document control is made possible by the integration of Bentley Datasheets with the Bentley® ProjectWise® suite of server applications. Bentley Datasheets is a module within the Bentley Process & Instrumentation Workgroup of applications enabling engineers to create process, instrumentation, mechanical and electrical datasheets that automatically synchronize with the Bentley Plant project database. This reduces the time-intensive task of manual datasheet production and ensures data consistency.
