Product catalog summary
Introduction
The vPod and vPod II are advanced microprocessor-based vibration meters designed for precise measurement of vibration data. They offer features such as average, hold, and peak hold data display, with user-selectable units and detection modes. The vPod II model includes memory storage for up to 1000 data points and data transfer capabilities via an RS-232C port.
Feature Specifications
  • Displacement: 0~1999 um, p-p (10~1KHz BP)
  • Velocity: 0.0~199.9 mm/s, 0-p (10~1KHz, ISO2954)
  • Acceleration: 0.00~19.99 g, rms (10 Hz HP)
  • Bearing Condition: 0.0 ~ 199.9 mm/s (0-p) (500Hz ~2kHz)
  • Accuracy: 5% (10 ~ 10 kHz)
  • Power Supply: 9V alkaline battery, approximately 30 hours operation
  • Display: 120 x 32 graphic mode LCD
  • Memory: 1000 measured data points (vPod II)
Gain and Precision Reading
The vPod and vPod II include a gain function to enhance precision readings, particularly useful for machines with low vibration levels. This function amplifies small signals, increasing precision by one decimal place.
Bearing Condition Measurement
Both models can measure vibration in acceleration, velocity, or displacement, with a built-in 500 Hz high pass filter to effectively assess bearing conditions.
Memory for Data Storage (vPod II)
The vPod II's EEPROM memory allows storage of up to 1000 vibration data sets, which can be reviewed and transferred to a PC for further analysis using the RS-232C interface.
Optional PDM Software: Trendex
Trendex software enhances the vPod II's capabilities by providing cost-effective machine health management. It offers features like scheduled measurement, trending and alarm analysis, and automatic report generation.
Optional Thermo Meter
The vPod II can connect to an optional thermometer for temperature data collection, supported by the Trendex software.
