UPS ENERTRONIC I

UPS ENERTRONIC I

Product catalog summary
Overview
The ENERTRONIC I range of industrial UPS systems is engineered to deliver reliable power solutions for critical applications such as data processing, process control, and telecommunications. These systems ensure uninterrupted power supply and enhance voltage and frequency quality.
Design and Technology
The UPS systems incorporate advanced IGBT transistors in both the rectifier and inverter, ensuring high reliability and efficiency. They achieve an input power factor of ≥ 0.99 and an input distortion factor of < 5%. A 16-bit micro-controller is used for precise control and monitoring.
Functionality
Classified as VFI SS 111 according to EN 62040-2, the ENERTRONIC I UPS systems include a static switch and manual bypass for maintenance. The rectifier converts three-phase mains voltage to DC, supplying the inverter and charging the battery, while the inverter provides stable AC output during mains interruptions.
Parallel and Bypass Operations
Up to eight units can operate in parallel for redundancy or increased power. The static bypass allows seamless transfer to mains supply, with overload capabilities of 150% for 10 minutes and up to 1000% for short durations.
Technical Specifications
The systems offer power ratings from 30 kVA to 120 kVA, supporting both single and three-phase outputs with efficiency levels up to 94%. They are designed for high overload and short-circuit resilience.
Monitoring and Control
The front panel features a display and LED indicators for operational status and fault conditions. An event recorder logs up to 1200 events, and communication interfaces include RS232, RS485, and optional network interfaces.
Environmental and Physical Characteristics
Operating within a temperature range of 0 to +40°C, the systems support installation heights up to 1000 meters without derating. They feature forced cooling with monitored fans and offer various installation options for cable entry and cabinet dimensions.
Specifications
The nominal frequency is 50 Hz, with overload capacities allowing for 150% overload for 10 minutes. Different overload percentages are specified for 100 milliseconds depending on the model: 500% for ENERTRONIC I 3-1 and 1000% for ENERTRONIC I 3-3. Transfer limits are set at ±10% for voltage and ±5% for frequency.
Procedures
The inverter/bypass transfer time is less than 1 millisecond for both inverter failure and overload or manual transfer. An interlock activates if a transfer occurs five times within a minute. The bypass/inverter transfer time is also less than 1 millisecond.
Options
Additional options such as a bypass transformer are available upon request.
Standards and Certifications
The document mentions compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards, emphasizing energy efficiency and natural resource conservation.

UPS ENERTRONIC I-2

General The requirement for power supply reliability is growing, due to the increasing application of information and data carrier systems, text processing, automated production processes and complex data networks. Irregularities due to loading of the public power supply by major users, peak-time use or by lightning strikes cannot be avoided. The result is: Mains voltage breaks, spikes and transients. (Fig. 1) Static UPS’s are being installed increasingly for loads that require AC voltages unaffected by interference on the mains e.g. • Data processing installations • Process control computers...

ENERTRONIC I an uninterrupptible power supply Function The static UPS not only has the task of supplying the connected consumers continuously and without interruption, but beyond that to also provide a clear improvement of the voltage and frequency quality in relation to the normal system. In normal operation the load is supplied by the input autotransformer, rectifier, inverter and output transformer route. The ENERTRONIC I is designed to meet the highest UPS classification VFI SS 111 in accordance with EN 62040-2. Rectifier The rectifier consists of an IGBT bridge with power factor correction...

Internal manual bypass Each UPS is equipped with a maintenance bypass with manually operated switch. When operated, the ENERTRONIC I is completely disconnected from the load. The supply to the load is now directly from the mains via the manual bypass. (Fig. 5) ENERTRONIC I multi utilities Parallel Operation For redundancy or increased output power, up to eight ENERTRONIC I units can be connected in parallel, operating an active load-sharing mode with active and passive master. Half load parallel operation is achieved using two separate bus bars, connected with a coupling switch. The state coupling...
