Product Description:

The VME420 series voltage relays are designed for monitoring frequency, undervoltage, overvoltage, and voltage between thresholds in AC and DC systems. The device displays the current measured value on an LC display and stores the value required to trigger the alarm relay. Adjustable response times allow for consideration of installation-specific characteristics. An external supply voltage is required.

Typical Applications:

Voltage and frequency monitoring of single-phase machines and electrical installations.
Earth fault monitoring in medium-voltage systems via voltage transformers.
Monitoring of battery systems.
Switching machinery and equipment on/off at specific voltage levels.

Functionality:

Upon applying supply voltage, a start-up delay begins. The device features two adjustable measuring channels for overvoltage/undervoltage. Alarm relays switch when response values are exceeded or fall below set thresholds, with response and release delays configurable. Fault memory can be activated to retain alarm states until reset.

Preset Function:

Automatically determines nominal system voltage and sets response values for overvoltage, undervoltage, underfrequency, and overfrequency. If no voltage is detected, minimum or maximum values are set, and manual configuration is required.

Complies with DIN EN 45545-2.
