Product Description
The CME420 series monitors undercurrent and overcurrent in AC systems and can measure current between two threshold values (window discriminator function). It displays the current value on an LC display and stores the value required to trigger the alarm relay. The device allows for adjustable delay times to accommodate installation-specific characteristics. Current measurement can be direct or via standard current transformers, and an external supply voltage is required.

Typical Applications
Applications include monitoring current consumption in motors (pumps, elevators, cranes), lighting circuits, heating circuits, charging stations, emergency lighting, and screw conveyors in sewage plants.

Function
Upon applying supply voltage, a start-up delay begins. The device has two adjustable measuring channels for overcurrent and undercurrent. When the measured value exceeds or falls below the set response values, the alarm relays switch after a response delay, and the alarm LEDs light up. The device can be configured to maintain the alarm state until manually reset.

Standards
The CME420 series complies with IEC 60255-6 standards.

Technical Data
The device operates with a supply voltage of AC 16-72 V/DC 9.6-94 V or AC/DC 70-300 V, with a frequency range of 42-460 Hz. It has a power consumption of ≤ 4 VA and supports a measuring range of AC 0.05-16 A. The device features a multi-functional LC display and two relays with changeover contacts. It is designed for continuous operation and can be mounted on a DIN rail.

Environmental and Mechanical Conditions
The device operates within a temperature range of -25 to +55 °C and complies with various IEC standards for environmental and mechanical conditions.

Ordering Information
Two versions are available: CME420-D-1 and CME420-D-2, with different supply voltage ranges. Accessories include a mounting clip for screw mounting.
