Product Description
The IOM441-S is designed to enhance Bender devices like the EDS44x by converting alarm messages into switching commands for 12 relay outputs. Communication and power supply are facilitated through the Bender backbone bus (BB bus). The module supports software updates via the BB bus and stores parameters and switching states. Some basic devices support only one IOM441-S connection.

Application
Used for extending measuring channels during insulation fault location with potential-free contacts.

Function Description
Each measuring channel of the basic device has an alarm contact (N/O) to trip a circuit breaker if the response value is exceeded.

Connection
The IOM441-S should be connected to the right of the basic device. For UL applications, use 60/75 °C copper lines only.

Insulation Coordination (IEC 60664-1)
Protective separation between BB bus and relay contacts with a rated voltage of 250 V, overvoltage category III, pollution degree 2, and rated impulse voltage of 6 kV.

Supply Voltage
DC 24 V with a tolerance of 5% and power consumption of less than 1.7 W.

Switching Elements
12 N/O contacts with a rated operational voltage of AC 250 V/DC 30 V and a rated operational current of 5 A.

Environment/EMC
Complies with IEC 61326-2-4. Operating temperature ranges from -25 to +55 °C, with transport and storage conditions specified.

Pluggable push-wire terminal with various conductor sizes and stripping length of 10 mm.
