A direct start control system ensures that the lamp need not be preheated and the maximum spectral region is reached directly when switched on. It can be restarted straightaway. With its highest possible efficiency the special high-gloss reflector ensures exact illumination. Thanks to the omission of the previous standby times and in conjunction with a special mirror-polished reflector energy-savings up to 80% can be achieved.
