Mechanical Features: Single-bearing alternators ensure alignment during assembly, while double-bearing alternators are balanced with a 1/2 key and can operate in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions.

Electrical Features: The alternators allow for overloads of up to 50% for 2 minutes and can sustain 300% short circuit current for 10 seconds with an optional Permanent Magnet. They permit an unbalanced load of 25% rated current with minimal voltage deviation.

Insulation and Performance: The insulation system is class 'H' with vacuum pressure impregnation. The stator is wound to 2/3 pitch to eliminate harmonics, ensuring a stable supply for non-linear loads. TIF is better than 2% as per BS4999 Part 40.

Interference and Damping: The alternators have interference suppression grade N to VDE 0875 and excellent damping against torsional vibrations.

Accessories and Options: Available options include a droop kit, remote voltage potentiometer, PT100 thermal protection, anti-condensation heaters, IP23 protection, and special treatments for harsh environments.

Environmental Considerations: All ratings are based on a 40°C ambient temperature at 1000m altitude. Performance decreases with higher altitudes and lower power factors.
