Main Characteristics Description

General: The alternator range covers ratings from 5kVA to 1386kVA, suitable for industrial, marine, commercial, construction, mining, and telecommunications applications, both for prime or standby power generation.

Alternator Construction: AC generators are self-excited, self-regulated, and come with a regulator and inbuilt booster.

Compliance with Standards: Generators comply with IEC60034-1/60034-2, BS4990 & 5000, VDE0530, NEMA MG1-2006, CSA C/UL, and have ISO 2000, CE certification.

Mechanical Features: Available in single-bearing or double-bearing constructions. Single-bearing has SAE flange adaptors and disc couplings for alignment during assembly. Double-bearing has IMB34 standard forms and SAE adaptors. All alternators can operate in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions.

Electrical Features:
- Overloads & Short Circuit Current: Allows overloads of 10% for 1 hour, 14% for 15 minutes, 25% for 5 minutes, and 50% for 2 minutes. With an optional Permanent Magnet, can sustain 300% short circuit current for 10 seconds.
- Unbalanced Load: Permits an unbalanced load of 25% rated current with less than 5% deviation in line voltage.
- Insulation: Class ‘H’ insulation with Vacuum Pressure Impregnation. Stator wound to 2/3 pitch to eliminate harmonics.
- Telephone Interference: TIF better than 2% (BS4999 Part 40) and better than 50 (ASAC50.12).
- Radio Interference: Supplied with interference suppression grade N to VDE 0875.
- Damper Winding: Provides excellent damping against torsional vibrations.

Accessories & Options: Includes droop kit, remote voltage potentiometer, PT100 thermal protection, anti-condensation heaters, IP23 protection, special treatment for corrosive environments, Permanent Magnet, and control panel with LCD digital meter.

General Notes: Ratings are based on 40°C ambient temperature at 1000m altitude. Power factor considerations and altitude adjustments are provided.
