Specifications:
The DG164 series covers ratings from 5kVA to 1386kVA, suitable for industrial, marine, commercial, construction, mining, and telecommunications applications. The alternators are self-excited, self-regulated, and include a regulator and inbuilt booster. They comply with standards such as IEC60034-1/60034-2, BS4990 & 5000, VDE0530, NEMA MG1-2006, and CSA C/UL, with ISO 2000 and CE certification.

Mechanical Features:
Available in single-bearing or double-bearing constructions. Single-bearing models use SAE flange adaptors and disc couplings for alignment during assembly. Double-bearing models conform to IMB34 standards and can be customized. All alternators can operate in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions.

Electrical Features:
Alternators allow overloads of 10% for 1 hour, 14% for 15 minutes, 25% for 5 minutes, and 50% for 2 minutes. With an optional Permanent Magnet, they can sustain 300% short circuit current for 10 seconds. They permit an unbalanced load of 25% rated current with less than 5% deviation in line voltage. The insulation system is class ‘H’ with vacuum pressure impregnation.

Performance:
The generator stator is wound to 2/3 pitch to eliminate harmonics and ensure reliable supply for non-linear loads. Telephone Interference Factor (TIF) is better than 2% as per BS4999 Part 40 and better than 50 as per ASAC50.12. The alternators have interference suppression grade N to VDE 0875 and include damper winding for excellent damping against torsional vibrations.

Accessories & Options:
Available options include a droop kit for reactive current sharing, remote voltage potentiometer, PT100 thermal protection, anti-condensation heaters, IP23 protection, special treatment for harsh environments, Permanent Magnet, and a control panel with an LCD digital meter.

General Notes:
All ratings are based on a 40°C ambient temperature at 1000m altitude. Performance decreases with higher altitudes and lower power factors. For example, at 3000m altitude, performance is at 87% of the base rating.
