The S160 AVR is the result of the most sophisticated technology offered by electronics (IGBT technology). It makes possible the feeding of stator exciting units at values of nominal voltage up to 200 Volts, and it can therefore be used on most machines available on the market. It guarantees the optimum performance of alternators, be they charged or uncharged or in transition phase, in particular during the breakaway of asynchronous motors. Regulation takes place during each of the three phases of the alternator work, and it is therefore active even in extremely unbalanced conditions because inputs come directly from the two phases of the alternator. This device also ensures safe protection against persistent over voltage and over load perturbation. All the components are resin-finished in order to warrant long lasting reliability in any environment and avoid damages caused by vibrations. The S 160 is cased in a strong plastic box. It is furthermore supplied with insulated faston electric clamps connection and internal fuse block, complete with an high-speed fuse as protection against short circuits. Complete with: - Voltage adjustment trimmer. - Stability control trimmer. - Under frequency protection trimmer. - Excitation current control trimmer. - Protection against maximum excitation in under frequency condition (between 40 ÷ 50 or 50 ÷ 60 HZ), when diesel or hydroelectric plants are set to self heating from the start. - Over voltage protection ( internally calibrated ). - Self-excitation at minimum 4 Volts. - Jumper for 1000Ù - 1W (±5%) Watt remote control potentiometer. - 50/60 Hz jumper. - Parallel option device (to match with S155 or PFC 2001) and remote control possibility. - Functions indicated by: * Over-voltage led (yellow) * Under frequency led (green) * Overload led (red) - Dimensions: 137 mm W, 108 mm D, 62 mm H; weight gr. 1.030. - The S160 AVR does not need any auxiliary supply to open an automatic switch for protected loads having 3 x In A. short circuit, and can be fed with different auxiliary voltages anyway. If different voltage or frequency is needed, BELTRAME c.s.e can supply the regulator according to the feeding value desired by the customer.
