BelSonic SeamStar BS ATA & BS OTA Continuous ultrasonic sewing machine ideally suited for side seams and producing tubes or circular piece goods The BelSonic SeamStar BS ATA OR OTA Cylinder Arm Machines are specially constructed ultrasonic machines for producing high quality felled and flat bonded seams in synthetic fabric and nonwoven materials. A choice of pattern wheels is available to achieve a variety of stitch patterns. The OTA or Off-The-Arm machine is equipped with an L shaped arm that directs the fabric down the length of the arm. It is ideal to make tubes, sleeves, panty legs, bags, tubes, etc. The ATA or Around-The-Arm machine is equipped with a canon shaped extension arm at the left side of the machine. It is ideal for circular shaped operations as attaching sleeves, cuffs, collars and binding. The pattern wheels of both the OTA and the ATA machines are interchangeable and inserted into the extension arms. Applications The BelSonic SeamStar BS OTA and ATA offer a production alternative for cutting and/or welding of synthetic fabrics. Materials best suited for ultrasonic bonding are made of 100% synthetic or thermoplastic fibres. Blends with a maximum of 40% natural fibres can possibly also be used. The BelSonic SeamStar BS OTA and ATA can be used with following materials : polyester, polypropylene, nylon, acrylics, PU coated fabrics, etc. These materials can be (non-)woven, needle felts, knits, films and laminates.
