METEOR WIDE TOLERANCE COUPLING

METEOR WIDE TOLERANCE COUPLING

Product catalog summary
Specifications:
  • Wide tolerance of approximately 25mm.
  • Limited number of sizes to cover a range of nominal diameters.
  • Reliability ensured through leak-tightness by compressing the gasket between end rings and the sleeve onto the pipe.
  • Corrosion protection with epoxy powder coating (minimum 250µm) and stainless steel nuts and bolts.
Installation:
  • Easy and fast with an angular deflection of ±6° per side.
  • Compensates for pipe misalignment and absorbs pipe expansion and contraction.
  • Good setting gap.
Standards Compliance:
  • EN14525, NF A 48-830, EN545, ISO2531.
Approvals:
  • ACS, WRAS, KIWA, KTW W270 for gasket and coating.
Important Notes:
  • Mechanical couplings do not prevent pipe pull-out; external restraint is necessary.
  • Not recommended for PE pipes.
Characteristics:
  • Range: DN40 – DN300 (OD44-361mm).
  • Maximum working pressure: PFA16.
  • Operating temperature: +0°C to +60°C.
  • Installation torque: 40 N m.
Applications:
  • Drinking water networks, pumping stations, water treatment, fire protection networks, irrigation networks, sewage network, and rainwater drainage.
Tests:
  • Sealing performance tests according to ISO2531 and EN14525.
Material and Standards:
  • Body and counter flange made of ductile iron EN-GJS-500-7 EN 1563.
  • Seal made of EPDM EN 681-1.
  • Fixings made of stainless steel A2 (nut A4-80 Glitmo 605) DIN603 / ISO4032.
Technical Data:
  • Angular deflection: ±6° per side.
  • Setting gap varies with size, with detailed specifications provided for each DN size.

METEOR WIDE TOLERANCE COUPLING-1

METEOR DATASHEET METEOR WIDE TOLERANCE COUPLING Enables the mechanical jointing of pipes of different materials and outside diameters. Description: • Wide tolerance: on average 25mm. • Small number of sizes to cover a nominal diameter range. • Reliability Guaranteed leak-tightness by compressing the gasket between the end rings and the sleeve onto the pipe. Optimal protection against corrosion: epoxy powder coating (min. 250µm) and stainless steel nuts and bolts. • Easy and fast installation: Angular deflection of ± 6° per side. Compensates for pipe misalignment Absorbs pipe expansion and contraction • Conformity to standards EN14525 : “Ductile iron wide tolerance couplings and flange adaptors for use with pipes of different materials: Ductile iron, Grey iron, Steel, PVC-U, PE, Fibrecement”. NF A 48-830 : “Foundry products – Spheroidal graphite cast iron fittings for PVC drinking water pipes under pressure.” EN545 : “Ductile iron pipes, fittings, accessories and their joints for water pipelines – requirements and test methods.” ISO2531 : “Ductile iron pipes, fittings, accessories and their joints for water applications.” • Approval ACS (Attestation de conformité sanitaire) Gasket and coating with approvals ACS, WRAS, KIWA, KTW W270 Important notes These mechanical couplings do not prevent pipe pull-out. The user must ensure that adequate external restraint to the pipework is provided. Not recommended for PE pipes. Characteristics • Range: DN40 – DN300 (OD44-361mm) • For larger DN, please consult us. • Maximum working pressure: PFA16 • Operating temperature: +0°C to +60°C • Installation torque: 40 N m Applications • Drinking water networks. • Pumping stations, water treatment. • Fire protection networks. • Irrigation networks. • Sewage network and rain water drainage.
