Applications

Operation Principle
  • The Discobloc consists of a body with upstream and downstream spring-loaded check valves, creating three pressure zones.
  • In normal operation, the intermediate zone pressure is always at least 1.4mWH less than the upstream pressure, ensuring the discharge remains closed.
  • If pressure differences drop, the discharge opens to maintain the required pressure difference, preventing backflow.
Installation
  • Should be installed at the point of drinking water supply, after the water meter, and in compliance with regulations.
  • Must be checked and maintained annually by an approved specialist.
  • Installation should be horizontal and in an accessible inspection chamber.
Important Remark
  • Before installation, pipes should be flushed with large amounts of water to ensure cleanliness.

Backflow preventer with reduced pressure zone DISCOBLOC BA - Series H2 10 Designed to protect drinking water networks from backflow of polluted water due to: - a pressure drop in the network - a back pressure from a potentially non potable water network. Operation principle Description The Discobloc consists of a body closed by a bonnet, an upstream spring loaded check valve (1) and a downstream spring loaded check valve (2). The whole delimits 3 different pressure zones : upstream zone A, intermediate zone B and downstream zone C.
