Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides technical specifications and operational guidelines for the Nanotrak filter element, designed for the food and beverage industry to maintain high-quality standards while reducing costs. The filter is constructed using a polypropylene nanofiber matrix supported by borosilicate microfibers, ensuring high dirt holding capacity and sanitizability.
Specifications:
  • Materials: Polypropylene for upstream and downstream supports, internal core, external cage, and end caps/adapters.
  • Temperature and Pressure: Maximum continuous temperature of 80°C, steam sterilization up to 40 hours at 121°C, and a maximum differential pressure of 5.0 bar at 25°C.
  • Filtration Ratings: Available in 0.5 µm (NTC) and 1.0 µm (NTD) with maximum water flow rates of 500 l/h and 700 l/h respectively for a 10” cartridge.
Procedures:
  • Sanitization: Can be sanitized with hot water up to 90°C and standard chemical agents.
  • Regeneration: Effective regeneration using a 2% NaOH solution at room temperature.
Standards and Compliance:
  • Food Safety: Complies with EU regulation 10/2011, EC regulations 1935/2004, and 1895/2005.
  • Bio-Safety: Meets USP Biological Reactivity and Chemical-Physical tests for CLASS VI plastics, and USP “Water for injection” requirements for particle release.
Recommendations:
  • Change out differential pressure is recommended at 2.0 bar at 25°C.
  • Manufacturing is conducted in a controlled environment to ensure high-quality standards.
Ordering Information:
  • End Fitting Codes: Options include DOE, SOE with various O-Ring and bayonet lock configurations.
  • Nominal Lengths: Available in 10”, 20”, 30”, and 40”.
  • Gasket Code: Silicone (S).
Graphical Data: A graph illustrates the pressure drop against flow rate for NTC and NTD filtration ratings, indicating performance efficiency.

Nanotrak-1

Nanofiber matrix High dirt holding capacity Sanitizable and sterilizable Thermowelded construction EC listed materials for food contact FDA listed material per CFR21 Nanotrak is the solution to the food and beverages industries to reduce costs keeping high standard quality. Nanotrak filter element is manufactured with an innovative filter media made of polypropylene nanofiber supported by borosilicate microfiber. The controlled dimension of these fibers provides high reliable performances reaching an absolute filtration grade (efficiency >99.98%) that is not influenced by the quantity of the contaminant in the liquid to be filtered. The chemical compatibility of the materials and the technology adopted in the manufacturing process allows an effective regeneration process both by backwashing and by chemical agents. Typical are food &beverage applications and water treatments were particle removal is a particular hint. Manufacturing is made in a controlled environment ti keep high quality standards.
