The Bausch SM_H2 Socket Module is a V.92 (56K) PSTN modem based on Conexant Technology. This Module is ideal for embedded medical, metering and alarm applications since it offers very low operating power requirements, a small board space, a worldwide compliance and a 3 kV dielectric withstanding voltage. Specifically for alarm applications it supports the SIA alarm protocol and contact ID. The product can be provisioned for applications ranging from system monitoring and reporting to answering inbound calls with voice responses (for example SIA protocol for alarm equipment with voice listen-in applications –speakerphone functionality-). Industrial temperature ranges (-40°- 80° are also available on special request. ) The modem is available in both Serial TTL format and external modem format with serial RS-232/RS-485 (2 and 4 wire) interface.
