Industrial GSM / GPRS Pulse Counter The InduBox GSMWS6318 Pulse is an industrial pulse counting and communication device dedicated to energy market applications such as meter count verification etc. The Pulse Counter is an AC powered device housed in a sealable wall mountable enclosure. The Pulse Counter can be programmed in the Atmel processor in C. Bausch Datacom can provide tailor-made customer applications if necessary. The stored cumulative pulse count will be communicated through FTP over the GPRS network or by SMS messages. As all Bausch Datacom modems & RTU’s, the InduBox GSMWS6318 Pulse is equipped with a hardware watchdog to reset the device if necessary. In order to keep accurate time, the firmware uses SNTP to obtain the correct time to be used in timestamps for statistics and transferred files. Optionally the 4 x 25F SuperCapacitor add-on will allow for power backup when power fails. In that case the InduBox GSM Pulse will attempt to send an alert using SMS and FTP and it will keep trying until successful. Tailored made firmware can be implemented to convert the InduBox GSMWS6318 Pulse into a simple SMS alarming device! The InduBox GSMWS6318 Pulse is part of the proven InduBox family, typically conceived for energy applications. Meter reading for electricity, gas or ‘green energy’ applications such as solar panel or windmill electricity production are specific domains where the InduBox Pulse Counter can be implemented.
