nblockable ultra stable GSM communications Data links over a GSM network can be used instead of normal analogue or digital wired communication links in several industrial data communication applications. The benefits of wireless applications are many: low cost of installation, mobility, fast roll out, ... Thanks to the implementation of several hardware and software features, the Bausch InduBox GSM modem is especially suited for industrial data communication applications: industrial non-flammable reliable housing, wide range power supply, Those features are normally not present on standard desktop GSM modems. The configuration can be done via a standard 9-pin serial connector via AT-commands. The InduBox GSM has two removable screw blocks; one 3-pin for the power supply and one 4-pin for the serial connection with the application (DTE). The dual band antenna has to be connected via a FME connector. To monitor the status of the InduBox GSM we have implemented 9 LEDs. It's possible to seal the housing to secure the power, DTE and antenna connection and guard the SIM card against unauthorized removal.
