Thanks to the implementation of several hardware and software features, the Bausch InduBox GSM modem is especially suited for industrial data communication applications: industrial non-flammable reliable housing, wide range power supply, Those features are normally not present on standard desktop GSM modems. The configuration can be done via a standard 9-pin serial connector via AT-commands. The InduBox GSM has two removable screw blocks; one 3-pin for the power supply and one 4-pin for the serial connection with the application (DTE). The dual band antenna has to be connected via a FME connector. To monitor the status of the InduBox GSM we have implemented 9 LEDs. It's possible to seal the housing to secure the power, DTE and antenna connection and guard the SIM card against unauthorized removal.
