Open Communication Devices for the Industrial market -DIN rail mountable RTU, 4AI, 16DI, 2DO, GPRS, 85-264 VAC mains, power back-up The Bausch DinBox range is especially designed for industrial use offering a DIN-rail housing, a wide range DC power supply (with power back-up), automated communication possibilities and most important, they represent all-in-one solutions for the best price. Traditional RTU builders are proud to offer different modular hardware building bricks: so they offer a data logger with optional products like analog and digital inputs and outputs, communication interfaces, telecom modems and power back-up devices. The customer has to make a choice and compose his own (expensive) solution if he wants the substation to exchange information with the central dispatching or scada system. We at Bausch however wanted to engineer a micro-RTU which offers the best all-in one solution for the best price. This point of view resulted in a wireless, IP enabled all-in-one single device, the DinBox RTU. The DinBox RTU is built inside a DIN-rail housing and has an embedded TCP/IP enabled GSM/GPRS modem as well as 4 AI, 16 DI, 2 DO, an integrated power-back-up and logging and data acquisition possibilities (time and event driven) with additional alarm management through SMS with acknowledgement. The DinBox RTU typically allows Wireless GPRS communications to IP enabled SCADA systems.
