Street transport crucible for liquid aluminium Description The transport crucible for liquid aluminium is used to transport aluminium melts on public roads from the smelter to the foundry. It consists of a solid steel casing with reinforcing strips and a temperature resisting refractory lining with optimal heat insulating properties. The feet of the crucible are equipped with bores to fix the crucible on transport vehicles and tilting units. The crucible can be emptied through a corresponding pouring spout. The removable cover provides a filling hole which can be closed during transport, this also refers to the pouring spout.
