Product catalog summary
Introduction
This manual provides essential guidance for the installation, operation, and maintenance of Bardiani Valvole's pneumatic ball valves. It is crucial for qualified technicians to review this document before handling the valves. Updates to the manual are available on the manufacturer's website.
Safety, Warning, and Mandatory Signs
The manual details various warning signs, including risks of personal injury, hand crushing, heavy loads, severe burns, and explosions. Operators are required to use protective gloves, hard hats, safety footwear, and suitable clothing. Only expert technicians should perform dismantling and maintenance operations.
Safety
The valves are designed for moving fluids only and must not be used for other purposes, with different fluids, or at unspecified pressures. Use in explosive or fire-risk environments is prohibited unless certified.
Technical Data
The valves operate within specific temperature and pressure ranges and are constructed from materials like AISI 316L and PTFE. The pneumatic actuator requires air pressure between 6 and 8 bar.
Checking / Unpacking / Lifting
Upon receipt, inspect the valve for transport damage and ensure it matches the order. Follow proper lifting procedures based on valve size to avoid injury or damage.
Installation
Installation should be conducted by experts, ensuring correct air pressure and power supply. Avoid stress factors like vibrations and thermal expansion. Maintain proper clearance for maintenance.
Operation
Before operation, inspect the valve by supplying air and powering it to ensure proper function. Handle with care to avoid hand injuries.
Troubleshooting
Common issues include external leaks and difficulty in operation, often due to worn gaskets or incorrect actuator positioning. Solutions involve replacing gaskets or adjusting the actuator.
Cleaning
Valves should be cleaned by experts using appropriate detergents. Protective gear is necessary to prevent burns from hot surfaces. A cleaning cycle example is provided.
Disposal
At the end of its life, the valve must be recycled according to local regulations, considering hazardous residues. The valve consists of stainless steel, elastomers, plastic, and electrical components.
Maintenance Procedures
  • General Maintenance: Maintenance should be performed by expert technicians with all utilities disconnected. Discharge fluid pressure before disassembly and wear protective gloves to avoid burns.
  • Cleaning: Clean valve parts thoroughly before disassembly, using protective glasses and gloves.
  • Replacement of Parts: Use only original spare parts for replacements.
Scheduled Maintenance:
  • Valve gaskets should be replaced every 12 months, and actuator gaskets every 24 months. Check for leaks and record maintenance actions.
Tools for Disassembly/Reassembly:
  • Specific tools are required for the disassembly and reassembly of the ZVS pneumatic ball valve.
Disassembly and Assembly:
  • Detailed steps for disassembly and assembly of the ZVS valve are provided, including diagrams for different valve types.
Warranty Information
  • The warranty covers design, construction, and material defects for 12 months from delivery. Notification of defects must be sent within 8 days of detection.
  • Warranty is limited to repair or replacement of defective parts. Exclusions include elastomers, electrical components, and faults due to improper use or installation.
Recommendations
  • Consult the "Instruction, Use and Maintenance Manual" before installation and use. Illustrations are indicative and not binding.
  • Assess product suitability before ordering. Contact Bardiani Valvole for additional information.
  • Warranty details are in the manual, and Bardiani Valvole is not liable for indirect damages.
