Description
The Haptic Sensing Piezo Switch is part of the EverSwitch product family, featuring fast response haptic feedback that can be adjusted for duration and vibration level. It provides tactile feedback even when no visible activation result is present. The switch fits into a Touch Metal Piezo Switch with a 22x1mm thread, a 25mm head, and is illuminated with multi-color RGB LEDs (12 or 24V). It is constructed from a single piece of metal housing, available in various anodized colors, and mounted with a nut.

Approvals
The switch complies with several standards, including MIL-STD - 810C, 202E, 461B, 462, and CE directives for low voltage components. It has an IP69K rating, compatible with IEC 60529 and EN 60529, and meets EMC Directive 2004/108/EWG.

Characteristics
The switch is highly reliable, tested for over 50 million cycles, and is weatherproof for harsh outdoor conditions. It is touch-activated, operable with gloves or tools, sterilizable, vandal-resistant, and requires zero power for keypad operation. It mimics a dry contact switch closure and eliminates RFI, EMI, and ESD issues. A five-year warranty is provided.

Customized Options
Various design options are available, including connectors, switch functions, current ratings, graphics, and housing materials. An embedded CPU for data output compatible with various communication protocols is offered. Temperature-compensated and thermal shock-proof versions are also available.

Electrical Data
The switch operates as a normally open momentary switch with a voltage range of 0-24 AC/DC and a standard current of 0.2A (0.5A optional). It has a rated breaking capacity of 1W, with operating cycles exceeding 50 million. The switch resistance is greater than 5 MΩ when off and less than 20 Ω when on, with a capacity of 30 pF and a pulse duration of 125-300ms.

Mechanical Data
The housing is made from Aluminum 6061 T651 or Stainless Steel (303/304), with an actuating force of 3-5 Newton and an actuating travel of 0.002 mm. It features a polycarbonate illuminated ring and a connection of 4 wires 24 AWG. Shock protection is rated at IK 06, and fastening torque is 2.5 Nm.

Environmental Data
The operating temperature range is -20 to +70 °C, with a storage temperature range of -20 to +85 °C. The switch has IP69K protection for both front and back.
