The BL508 Differential Pressure Deadweight Tester is designed to accurately measure differential pressure (ΔP) under high line pressures. The primary challenge with differential pressure measurement is the large ratio of line pressure to differential pressure, which makes small instabilities in line pressure significant compared to the differential pressure. The BL508 mitigates this by utilizing two oil-lubricated and gas-operated pistons to set and maintain line pressure with a high degree of accuracy. Cross-floating the master and slave pistons prior to measurement minimizes line pressure error contributions.
