The oil analysis with BALTECH ОА5000 is conducted by measuring the degree of change in dielectric constant, caused by oil contamination and degradation as well as by means of blotter spot test. The oil analyzer BALTECH OA-5000 is a portable device that provides instant information on oil condition, which in many cases eliminates the necessity to perform long – term laboratory tests. It measures changes in oil dielectric constant. By comparing the measurements obtained from used and unused oils of the same brand and type, the oil analyzer BALTECH OA-5000 determines the degree of change in oil dielectric constant. Since the dielectric changes are directly related to the contamination level and degradation of the oil, their values allow achieving longer intervals between oil changes and immediately detecting increased mechanical wear and loss of the oils lubricating properties. The blotter spot test manual which is delivered with the oil analyzer BALTECH OA-5000 provides additional information on the oil condition. It helps to estimate the change in detergent - dispersant additives, to determine watering and metal parts in oil. The estimation is performed according to the appearance of the oil spot and takes 15-20 minutes.
