Forming Processes Radial, Orbital, Roller forming Processes The application determines the process. In most cases however, where high-quality joints are a requirement, the radial riveting technology is the appropriate procedure due to the low cyle time, the little force needed and the high quality results obtained. Process: The forming tool describes a rose petal path which results in a flowing and gentle deformation of material with the least possible force applied to the work piece. Roller forming Process: The center axis of the riveting peen operates in rotating path. The peen tip which contacts the rivet, signifies the pivot point, whereby the peen follows a circular motion.
