Basic Features
The BES M12MI-PSC40B-S04G-M02 inductive sensor is equipped with function monitoring and conforms to CE, UKCA, cULus, and WEEE standards. It adheres to the IEC 60947-5-2 basic standard. The sensor includes a function indicator but lacks a power indicator.

Electrical Connection
The sensor uses a 4-pin, A-coded M12x1-Male connection. It is protected against polarity reversal, device mix-ups, and short circuits.

The Mean Time to Failure (MTTF) at 40 °C is 675 years. The switching output is PNP normally open (NO).

Material and Mechanical Data
The housing is made of brass with a nickel-free coating, and the sensing surface is made of LCP. The sensor dimensions are Ø 12 x 65 mm, designed for flush mounting with a tightening torque of 10 Nm.

Range/Distance
The assured operating distance is 3.2 mm, with a rated operating distance of 4 mm. The sensor has a hysteresis of 15% of Sr, a repeat accuracy of 5% of Sr, and a temperature drift of 10% of Sr.

Remarks
The sensor resumes functionality after overload elimination. It includes a monitor output with specific conditions for high-level output.
