Overview: This document provides technical specifications and properties of hard ferrite magnets, also known as ceramic magnets, produced by Bakker Magnetics. It includes detailed magnetic properties, temperature coefficients, and operational guidelines.
Magnetic Properties: The datasheet lists various grades of hard ferrite magnetic materials, such as Bm 1, Bm 3, Bm 5, Bm 7, Bm 8, and Bm 9. Key parameters include remanence (Br), normal and intrinsic coercivity (-HcB and -HcJ), and maximum energy product ((B-H)max). For example, Bm 5 has a typical remanence of 4.0 kg (400 mt) and a maximum energy product of 29.5 Kj/m3.
Temperature and Density: The document outlines the temperature coefficients for remanence and coercivity, density, relative permeability, and Curie temperature for each material grade. All grades have a Curie temperature of 450°C and a linear expansion coefficient of 9-15 x 10-6/°C.
Operational Guidelines: Recommended maximum operating temperatures and magnetizing fields are provided. For instance, Bm 3, Bm 5, Bm 7, Bm 8, and Bm 9 have a recommended magnetizing field greater than 20 koe (800 ka/m).
Demagnetization Curves: The document includes demagnetization curves for Bm 5 at various temperatures (-40°C, +20°C, +200°C). Additional curves and data are available upon request.
Tolerances: Bakker Magnetics guarantees tolerances for unfinished magnets according to DIN 17410 standards. Custom tolerances can be requested by customers.
