DELTA-TEQ low-impact drilling fluid - 1

DELTA-TEQ low-impact drilling fluid ■' M W 1 ’* 7, s ' * * DELTA-TEQ™ low-impact, high-performance, oil-based drilling fluids use ultra-fine-grind barite, and a performance-based formula to reduce the delta between static and circulation density. The result is a low-viscosity drilling mud that reduces downhole losses caused by hydraulic impact, while maintaining exceptional hole cleaning capabilities. The unique DELTA-TEQ formulation provides a flatter rheology system that significantly reduces the risks of induced fractures by decreasing the hydraulic pressure on the formation. The balanced hydraulic profile of the DELTA-TEQ system also improves the fluid’s hole-cleaning ability while enabling a more flexible well design, and protecting the wellbore and the formation from hydraulic surge pressures. Sag-resistant properties keep solids suspended, even when the fluid column is static, making it possible to retain fluid integrity if a shut down occurs. As the pumps restart, the low impact technology designed into the DELTA-TEQ system bhge.com protects the wellbore against pressure spikes. This significantly reduces the risk of induced fractures, resulting in a reduced risk of mud losses, nonproductive time (NPT), and associated costs. Another advantage of the DELTA-TEQ system is that it can be used when running casing and liner. This eliminates the time and cost associated with displacing fluids between drilling and liner runs. The DELTA-TEQ high-performance fluid goes beyond the limits of available constant-rheology offshore drilling muds to deliver exceptional solids suspension across a wide variety of temperatures—all while protecting the wellbore and controlling downhole losses. To learn how the DELTA-TEQ high-performance fluid can help you reduce losses and control costs, contact Baker Hughes, a GE company, today. Applications • Offshore drilling • Narrow pressure margin drilling Benefits • Controls downhole losses • Protects the formation from induced fractures by eliminating excessive surge pressures and swab pressures • Eliminates the need to displace fluid between drilling and liner-run operations Copyright 2018 Baker Hughes, a GE company, LLC (“BHGE”).
