INTRODUCTION The Helios1500 SmartUPS is an outdoor Smart power supply product that provides Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and Emergency Power Supply (EPS) for the Baicells outdoor eNodeBs (eNBs)*. The Helios1500 is easy to install on the eNB and, due to its IP67 protection grade rating, can be installed in the harshest of site environments. The Helios1500 has three 56 VDC output ports totaling 1500 W power per individual EPS unit. When paired with extended battery modules through a Controller Area Network (CAN) communication protocol, the entire system becomes an outdoor SmartUPS for a maximum power backup capacity of 2800 Wh. The Helios1500 uses standard full function SmartUPS network and battery management systems and can be easily connected to the Baicells Operation Management Console (OMC) for site monitoring and management. The photoelectric switch function enables data transfer through one optical fiber at 1 Gbps rate, which is beneficial for long-distance deployment scenarios. * Baicells eNBs are sold separately.
