Meters for Reclaimed Water Tech Brief

Product catalog summary
Description: The document provides a technical brief on Badger Meter, Inc.'s water meters designed for measuring cold water in reclaimed water distribution systems. These meters are suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial applications where water flows in one direction only. They are specifically for non-potable water measurement, and care must be taken to avoid mixing with potable water meters.
Applications: The meters are used in non-potable, reclaimed water systems, which are increasingly important due to rising water costs and limited resources. Accurate metering is essential for billing customers for these alternative water supplies.
Utility Impacts: Utilities must ensure that potable and reclaimed water meters are not mixed. Special coloring and markings help distinguish between the two types of meters, following industry standards.
Warranty: The warranty for reclaimed water meters differs from that of potable water meters due to the variable composition of reclaimed water. Users should review the warranty statement for details.
Specifications: The document lists specifications for Recordall® Disc Series Meters (5/8" - 2") and Turbo Series Meters (1 1/2" - 20"). Meters feature a thermoplastic shroud and lid, with lavender color and specific markings to indicate non-potable use. The word "RECLAIMED" is marked on various parts of the meter.
Additional Information: The document notes that Badger Meter reserves the right to change specifications without notice, except where there is an outstanding bid obligation. For more information, contact details and the website are provided.
