Construction

Roll Preparation
New web preparation is facilitated by removable splice bars that are taped and vacuum-secured. The machine is ready for automatic splicing once the splice bars are replaced and the new web is fixed, allowing splicing without speed reduction.

Function
The splicer maintains constant web tension using a dancing roller and an electromagnetic disc brake. A PLC controls the splicing sequence, with a control panel providing machine status information.

Operational Procedures

Loading a new reel: Insert the new reel from the side, fix the web in the splicing position while the old reel supplies the press.

Cutting: Stop the empty reel, fix the old web, and use a rotary shear knife to cut the webs for gluing.
Splice: Fold back loose ends, press tape bars against cut webs for butt splicing, and return the carriage to unwinding position.
