SOLUTIONS FOR CHALLENGING PROCESSES The B&P continuous kneader (CK Series) is a flexible solution for a wide range of compounding needs. This mixer is perfect for a variety of mixing and compounding operations. The system is a single rotating and reciprocating mixing screw which processes material between the moving flights on the screw and the stationary teeth in the barrel wall. The CK Series features an excellent torque to free volume ratio which makes it ideal for thermally sensitive elastomeric adhesives and blowing agent formulations. The clamshell barrel design allows easy access for cleaning and inspection. The system is designed for lower power consumption with better quality finished product than twin-screw designs. The CK Series are offered with various configurations that allow the machine to be converted from cascade discharge to direct-flanged crosshead execution– enabling extreme versatility for changing products. The CK-Series machines are available in 40, 60, 80, 110, 150, 220, 500, 600, 700, and 800mm standard sizes. Continuous Kneader Features • Highly automated for minimal operator intervention • Flexible and versatile for use in a wide range of applications • Reduced operating costs • Easily and quickly cleaned for material changeovers Applications • PVC wire and cable production; including pre-mixing, conveying, gravimetric feeding, compounding, and pelletizing/sheeting • Powder coatings and toners • EVA • No dead spots ensures homogeneous mix • Color and Black masterbatches • Virtually eliminates batchto-batch variances • Bio- and natural-fiber based compounding • Very low scrap rate • Food and confectionery applications • Proven in installations worldwide.
