Product Overview

The B&P continuous kneader (CK Series) is a flexible solution for a wide range of compounding needs. It features a single rotating and reciprocating mixing screw that processes material between the moving flights on the screw and the stationary teeth in the barrel wall. The CK Series is ideal for thermally sensitive elastomeric adhesives and blowing agent formulations due to its excellent torque to free volume ratio. The clamshell barrel design allows easy access for cleaning and inspection, and the system is designed for lower power consumption with better quality finished products than twin-screw designs.

Configurations and Sizes

The CK Series offers various configurations, allowing conversion from cascade discharge to direct-flanged cross-head execution, providing extreme versatility for changing products. Available sizes include 40, 60, 80, 110, 150, 220, 500, 600, 700, and 800mm.

Company Background

B&P Process Equipment traces its heritage to the 1889 founding of Baker Perkins, a leader in batch mixers and other specialized industrial equipment. In 1937, Baker Perkins began producing pusher centrifuges for separation of coarse solids from free-draining crystalline slurries. B&P has continued to expand its line of batch and continuous mixing systems, as well as separation systems in a wide range of configurations. In 1996, B&P Process Equipment was created from Baker Perkins and the APV Chemical division.
