It is available for RS-232 and USB, in both cases the device is powered by the PC, and not by the bus system itself. It can be used as a programming adaptor for ETS starting from ETS2 1.1b. Remark: ETS5 does not support buscoupler with a serial interface! The EIBWeiche technology has been developed with the demands of visualization systems in mind (fast bi-directional communication, receiving and sending data at the same time), and it comes with all kind of drivers and interfaces for visualization and building control systems. The specifications of the PC <-> EIBWeiche communication protocol „OpenEIB" is public available, and can be freely used in own applications. Therefore it is also the perfect choice to connect your custom microcontroller to the EIB/KNX.
