You just send easy ASCII commands to the EIB ASCII Terminal. To write the value "1" to the group address "1/2/3" you have to send the ASCII text sequence "W1/2/3=1". That's all you have to do! Therefore you can easily connect your own applications and systems to the EIB/KNX world without MS Windows, you just have to be able to handle a RS-232 interface.
