Industrial Interfaces T h e MX-4200 embedded computer is available in several product variants for optimal connectivity to t h e on-site device, mac h ine or facility. Up to 2 CAN ports support t h e CAN standards 2.0A and 2.0B. Easy software access is ensured by standardized software interfaces suc h as SocketCAN, J1939 and CANopen. RS232, RS485 and digital input and output interfaces are also available fort h e flexible coupling oft h e MX-4200 to devices, mac h ines and systems. Operational safety A h ardware watc h dog ensures optimal availability. T h e very low power consumption from 1.3 watts on in full operation allows t h e fanless operation wit h out any furt h er cooling being required. T h e MX-4200 Embedded Computer is also well suited for battery powered applications. Flexible Linux Operating System T h e MX-4200 computer supports two Linux operating system configurations. Beside a Debian distribution wit h full access to t h e package management system is additionally available a compact system setup fully running from onboard flas h wit h a compre h ensive set of software packages like Java VM, PHP, a CGI capable webserver, Pyt h on and ot h ers. T h e CAN bus and serial interfaces as well as t h e digital inputs and outputs are controlled by standard APIs. Programming examples are supplied for fast and easy software implementation.
